PIONEERS OF THE POSSIBLE
Potential for greatness both personal and professional.

Angella Nazarian

My  training in psychology and years in facilitating womens’ workshops lead me to write the best selling book ‘Pioneers of the Possible: Celebrating Visionary Women of the World.’ I believe there’s a visionary leader in every one of us.

Would you like to understand what sets the world’s most visionary leaders apart from the rest? What patterns and mindsets impact our lives both personally and professionally? For further information on upcoming events and media please email Piera Klein: great2be@mac.com

Seminars

How Our Goals Are Best Achieved Indirectly

In a world that wants immediate answers to problems and the shortest route to a destination, we have forgotten the art of making room for discovery and happenstance along the way. The shortest distance between two points isn’t necessarily the best or safest route. Oftentimes, our objectives are often loosely described and frequently have elements that are not just compatible. Moreover, we often operate in complex systems that we can understand only imperfectly. Therefore, making decisions in an oversimplified manner may hinder our progress to a greater degree than expected.

The “Oblique” approach– as coined by John Kay– is one in which the practice of incremental modifications of concepts and the process of adaption can yield the best long tern results, whether in one’s overall perception of happiness, career success, or business effectiveness.

Research has shown that “Living well, building great businesses, pushing frontiers of a discipline are large, complex problems, best handled by successive decision making and exploration.”

This seminar focuses on case studies of those who chartered more oblique approaches to their lives and business, and achieved great successes, and how we can too.

Transitions and Our Evolving Identity

On average, we will have six to seven career changes throughout our lifetime. What is it that brings about such great change? The answer is found when we examine our ever-evolving identity. The shifting of priorities at different stages creates movement and openness to new experiences and ways of living. Case studies indicate that the most successful people are in tune with their needs and are better equipped to navigate the terrain of lifestyle changes. These individuals find that they are able to experience these changes in meaningful and affirming ways. This seminar focuses on case studies of truly remarkable entrepreneurs and leaders and the skill sets they used in creating positive change for and leading a successful lives.

Tap into your strengths: utilizing your competitive advantage

This seminar focuses on the competitive advantages gained from aligning our actions with our true passions for enhanced creativity and long-lasting results. Studies show that “people who have the opportunity to focus on their strengths every day are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs and more than three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life in general.” – Strength Finder 2.0 By embracing our strengths, we are able to tap into our unlimited potential.

Breakthrough To Your Full Potential

No limitations or excuses. Multiple studies including McKinsey’s “Women Matter” reveal that when women are included in leadership roles companies make better decisions, and in the realm of public policy studies reveal there is less corruption. The world now acknowledges the benefits of having women in leadership roles.

Cultivating the Leader Within—Creating Break-out Opportunities in Work and Personal Life

All humans are entrepreneurs. It is not because they start companies but because the will to create in encoded in our human DNA, and creation is the essence of entrepreneurship. Research shows that the business strategies executed by successful entrepreneurs are similar to the career strategies employed by highly successful individuals. In this seminar we will explore fascinating case studies, engage in thought-provoking dialogue, and learn some of the keys to successful living taught through the lives of extraordinary achievers.

How does our thinking and behaving like an entrepreneur enable us to create breakout opportunities in our work and personal life? Understanding that we are the founders of our own lives, the most important enterprise of all, is a key aspect to unlocking the doors of our future.

Becoming a Visionary Leader: Lessons learned from the 20 of the most successful women of our times. (Based on the best-selling book: Pioneers of the Possible–20 Visionary Women of the World)

What can we learn from the lives of some of the most successful leaders of our times? History proves that success has no gender, race, social class or economic status.  Yet, there are common threads that appear in the lives of successful leaders everywhere. In this seminar Angella reveals the keys to successful leadership uncovered through extensive research and as seen through the life stories of some of the women featured in her best-selling book “Pioneers of the Possible: Celebrating Visionary Women of the World.” Come prepared to ignite the leader within!

Are We There Yet? Debunking the Myths that Hold Us Hostage on the Road to Fulfillment

Life is about choices. However, the process of arriving at our decisions has everything to do with the conclusions we’ve drawn from the information that we rely on. This seminar is focused on debunking some of the common myths that hold us back from life, keeping us from breaking new ground, reaching new heights, and growing into our full potential.

Ecstasy-Understanding the Psychology of Joy

There is a capacity for great joy that lies dormant within us. Our first step is to try to understand the nature of this fleeting experience called ecstasy. We will then explore ways in which we can incorporate ways of living that allows for the invitation of ecstasy back into our inner world.

A Woman’s Journey to Herself

The goal of this workshop is to create a safe and intimate environment for women to help and mentor each other at all stages of their life. It is through the genuine sharing of needs and experiences and through channeling those needs in positive ways that a woman can feel validated and empowered. This seminar engages us in a personal yet universal journey to the essence of feminine–the unfolding of stories, dreams and visions of women.

Embracing Ourselves-Integrating the Unclaimed Parts of Ourselves

We are made up of many selves, some that are deeply hidden in our consciousness, from ourselves and others. Uncovering all our sides gives us the freedom to become more “whole” and more fully ourselves. In this seminar we will embark on the process of owning and taking responsibility for our shadow qualities, and learn specific tools for embracing our unclaimed selves and discovering its gifts.

The Middle Passage-Meaning in Midlife

Why do so many go through so much disruption in their middle years and what is the meaning of such an experience? This middle passage presents us with an opportunity to reexamine our lives and ask ourselves, “Who am I apart from the roles and the expectations that I have carried with me from the first half of my life?” In this seminar we will have the opportunity to discuss our history and our perceived limitations and find ways to redefine and reorient our sense of selves and to bring more meaning and enthusiasm into our lives.

Creating a Life-Finding your own Individual Path

In this seminar, we will find out about our defenses and the reasons behind our feeling stuck. We will also discuss what are the inevitable sacrifices and payoffs of creating a life that better suits our changing needs. We will also explore the key stories and patterns that we play out in our lives. Perhaps it is time to start recreating a new story and a new plot in our lives.

The Anima and the Animus–Understanding Our Masculine and Feminine Selves

“Men are used to thinking of themselves only as men, and women think of themselves as women, but the psychological facts indicate that every human being is androgynous.” Within us there is a reflection and patterns of a man and a woman, but in different degrees. In this seminar we will explore the basic psychological underpinnings of the female and male principle. We will also relate this study to discover if there are better ways of integrating both these principles into our lives.

Invisible Partners-How the Male and Female in Each of Us Affects our Relationships

We are often attracted to a partner because they carry the unrecognized male or the missing male in ourselves. And the same process is true for men. This has lead to many unusual and often unfortunate consequences, since these processes within us have a very powerful or irritating effect. In this seminar we will discuss how the hidden or unexplored male or female in us is playing out in our significant relationships, and how we could instill a level of awareness into our interactions.

Awakening the Hero Within

We find a model for learning how to live in stories about heroism. The heroic quest is about saying yes to yourself, and in this affirmation, we become more alive and effective in the world. The hero’s journey is about taking the journey to find the treasure of your true self and coming back to share your gifts with others. In this seminar we will explore the basic qualities of a heroic life and character and find ways to reinforce those very characteristics to empower our lives.

Archetypes-the blueprints of human behavior

Our world and our relationships are molded by psychological forces or archetypes. These archetypes are blueprints of basic human drives and qualities that we all share. As a way of understanding the general outline of these archetypes, we will take a closer look at Greek mythology and biblical stories, which are replete with such basic psychological patterns. We will then explore how these archetypes express themselves in us through our daily living and our relationships. These discussions will become a rich source of insight into our own psychological motivations.
